What is Remerge?

Remerge is a mobile app that creates video compilations of individual and shared experiences. Users contribute video clips to a group over time, and the app automatically compiles them into a shared highlight reel of memories. It's a new, time-based social experience built around anticipation and authenticity.

Why did you build Remerge?

Most social apps are designed for instant sharing, lacking any sense of buildup or collaboration. Additionally, creating video compilations manually is time- consuming and most tools are cluttered with unnecessary features. Remerge solves this by allowing users to capture and save videos over time that are auto-edited into a single highlight reel, viewable only once a timer unlocks—just like a digital time capsule.

What platforms will the app be released on?

Remerge will be launching on both the App Store and Google Play Store, so both iOS and Android devices will be able to use it. (Side note: we are launching the minimum viable product, so there will be many new feature updates as time goes on).

Will my account and videos be public?

No, Remerge is built around private groups so you choose who you share your videos with. The contents of your profile will be private besides your name, bio, and profile picture.

When will the app launch?

There is no specific date, but the launch is estimated to be in early November 2025.

Why do you ask for camera and contacts access?

Camera access lets you record and add video clips directly in-app. Contact access helps you connect with friends easily. We never sell your data.

How does Remerge keep me safe?

Remerge is centered around private groups, so you only share with people you trust. If something ever feels off, you can use our in-app reporting tools to flag content or accounts. We strongly adhere to our community guidelines which can be found in our Terms and Conditions. We’re committed to building a safe community and improving safety features as we grow.

How old do you have to be to use Remerge?

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account and use the app.

Can I delete my account anytime?

Yes, you can manage or delete your account whenever you like through settings.

How can I share feedback or report issues?

You can share feedback by filling out an in-app feedback form, as well as leaving a review on the App Store, and you can also report issues in the app. Additionally, you can reach us anytime at support@remergeapp.com — we love hearing from users!
