How it Works

The two core features of Remerge include solo and group reels. Here's the POV of a user creating a group reel:

01

Create your reel. Choose a solo reel to tell your own story, or a group reel to collaborate with friends — then give it a name and description.

Add reel screen with solo and group reel options
02

Set the duration for how long the reel lasts (ex. 1–7 days).

Calendar for setting the reel duration
03

Add friends. The group reel is now created, and the countdown begins.

Add friends screen to invite people to the reel
04

Each day, you add in quick video clips. I can see my own clips, but I can't see anyone else's until the timer ends. No spoilers.

Countdown and Release — when time's up, Remerge automatically combines everyone's clips into one video compilation. Now everyone can enjoy an entertaining mini-movie of a shared sequential experience.

Example Scenarios

Group Vacations

A group of college friends go to Cancún for Spring Break. They set up a 7-day reel called "Spring Break 2026". Each person adds video clips: beach volleyball, late-night adventures, pool parties, and one guy having too many margaritas. During the week, no one sees the full story — just their own added clips. Then, on the final morning, when everyone's on the way to the airport, the reel unlocks. The group can now relive the entire trip with a hilarious highlight film.

Music Festivals & Events

Four friends head to Miami Music Week. On the first night, one of them creates a "Miami Music Week" group reel, sets the duration to 3 days, and invites the others. Each night, they record clips — the DJ dropping a beat, the fireworks, the crowd singing along. Everyone can see their own clips but not each other's. After the last set ends, the timer runs out. The next morning, they wake up to a merged reel of the entire weekend, reliving the lights, the music, and their shared memories from every angle.

Individual Adventures

A student studying abroad in Barcelona, Spain creates a weekly recurring reel just for themselves. Every day, they drop in a short clip: sipping coffee in a plaza, walking through gothic streets, exploring the nightlife, trying tapas with friends, and more. At the end of the trip the reel compiles into a personal video journal — a highlight reel of their adventure that feels authentic and spontaneous, not over-produced. They save it and share it with their friends and family back home.
